Is there anything better than spring flowers? We have a sweet pink dogwood tree in front of our house. I wish the blooms would last all summer!
The first annuals this year – begonias from the local home improvement store. Sometimes it’s hard to know what will look good with a particular style or color of house, if one cares about that sort of thing. Ours can be kind of tough. The siding is made of reddish orange cedar planks. Orange is hard to work with. Don’t get me wrong. In my day job, I am a safety specialist, so I do appreciate the color orange.
And the Purple Palace Coral Bells came back. These are the only coral bells I have any experience with. Planted them just last year in two concrete planters. I thought they would do fine over the winter and glad to see they did. They are already bigger than they were last year.
Have you guys gotten out into the garden much yet? After a mild winter, we had a very late cold snap, which kind of set everything back. But, it is finally that time! What are you planting?

Lovely pictures. Our dogwoods are blooming too….really pretty this year. Not gardening yet, but it will be time soon, if I decide to put out anything. My mom and dad usually have ample amounts to share.
Thanks. It’s so nice when people have plants to share. I always find myself with a surplus of vegetable seeds, since it’s just the two of us here. I bring the packets to work and put them on the “Free to Take” area and someone always grabs them up. I’m happy they don’t go to waste. Hope you are enjoying spring!
Spring IS my favorite season.
