my word for 2019

January 28, 2019

Are you a “word of the year” kind of person? I have been following this practice for several years now. Last year, my word was Open. I had a really hard time choosing a word this year and thought maybe I was getting kind of tired of the whole thing. I realized that I DO like the concept of a word of the year, as evidenced by last year’s word really making a difference in my life. So…I buckled down and gave it some thought. I came up with Focus. Fewer goals and more focus on just those things.

If you read my “2019 garden plans” post, maybe you are thinking that there are more than just a few items on that list. So true! I chose my word after coming up with the list. So, I’ve picked 3 things from it to focus on during the year. If those get done, the other items are fair game for my attention. Maybe I’ve hit on the perfect approach – time will tell.

What is your word this year?

I love this idea, Angela! I actually think the word “open” resonates with me for this year….I am open to creative possibilities, new friendships and everyday miracles. Wishing you an incredible 2019. Cheers from a fellow blogger
