thoughtful thursday: plants on vacation

June 13, 2019

I was sitting in my reading chair one afternoon this week, looking around the house. My view included living room, dining room, and kitchen (“open concept” floor plan, pretty much the whole first floor), and thought: it feels so barren, I need more plants in here. How can there not be plants in here? What is UP with that?

Then it occurred to me, they’re all outside for the summer. D’oh! Maybe it’s been a long week already…

Here are a few of them. Do you put your houseplants outside during the summer?

I think it makes them happy to be outside. What are you thinking about today?

I have never actually thought to do that…I have always had designated “indoor” plants and designated “outdoor” plants. haha! i am loving that little palm in the white pot.

Thanks! I have a few of those palms here and there, just got them this year. So easy to care for. Now, it will just be finding space inside for them all when the temps start getting too cold, haha. Overrun with houseplants…
