There isn’t a whole lot to update you guys on this week. We are still waiting for the first frost. Last week we had what I would call an “almost frost”, meaning there was a very slight amount of frost on one window of one of the cars here. Nowhere else. So I’m not really calling that our first frost.
Next month we will set out the bird feeders. We keep them out only during the cold months. There is so much natural food here for the birds that I don’t want to get them dependent on our feeding them all year round. I’m not sure if that can happen, but why risk it? In the winter I don’t mind helping them out. This photo was taken many years ago, and obviously not during the winter. It’s one of the few photos I could find of birds at the feeder.
We are working to get our new shed stained/painted before winter, so that is keeping us busy.
